On-Going Classes

The following are on-going classes that will be offered throughout the school year by members of our group. There may be some small fees for these classes, for materials, etc.

C.H.O.W. Newspaper (Kim Smisek)

Those interested can be involved in reporting and writing articles for our first ever Newspaper. This would be a great experience for anyone, especially those who have an interest in journalism and reporting. Kim will be educating and assisting the students in news reporting and writing, and any articles of special interest may also be submitted (including, poems, cartoons, stories, etc.). For more information, contact Kim Smisek.

C.H.O.W. Year Book (Kim Smisek)

Pictures, including snapshots and photos taken during our events and fieldtrips can all be submitted, along with any descriptions or articles about the events. This would be great for anyone who is interested in photography, and will help remind us all to bring our cameras and share the photos with everyone! Those interested in helping put the yearbook together should contact Kim Smisek.

Art Appreciation Classes (Mary Sullivan)

These classes will be offered quarterly, and each one will be different, including one on cartooning. At the last class, the children will present some of their artwork. The dates, times, and location of the classes will be announced. If interested, please contact Mary Sullivan.

Drama Club (Kimberly Berg and Kim Smisek)

This is for anyone interested in drama and performing short skits/plays (grades 4-8). All the skits will be Bible-based and will teach good moral character, along with teaching the students to express themselves through drama. It will be simple, relaxed, and lots of fun! This club will likely meet twice a month, depending on interest and availability and scheduling conflicts. If interested, please contact Kimberly Berg.
